There is no holiday
Honestly speaking in NuMode - due to routine development work - we usually forget about holidays, ah!
But have you ever notice that our own smartphone or tablet calendar has no holiday at all? How is it? Too difficult upgrade?
Secret: my chinese tablet calendar comes with all the national holidays.
jQuery deserves a tech award
If there is a javascript library that simplify the work of any web developer by shortening code, cross-browser compatibility, mobile friendness this is surely jQuery.
We prop to award jQuery and who is behind this fantastic software for all the innovations it is taking in the field.
Our own dog food, the revange
In NuMode we are still producing software that we use in first place and looking around ourselves some easy considerations come in mind:
1. Due to the quantity of complex ideas fitting in the market (application patterns, javascript libraries, etc), let's say that not everyone eats its own dog food too. And this is a shame.
2. It makes us wondering the why of the situation in software houses and we ask ourselves if *reputation* got its prime seat.
3. It makes us thinking if the full range of possible software solutions we are in the need is already covering the meal or it doesn't fit in that aliening bowl?
From West to East, our ecosystem is much variagated, but -with all the respect possible - probably the good pill is that one keeping us in true, mere human vests: let's continue to eat our own dog food.
Old code: what a beauty..
To not confuse with Oled..
We recently found the way to put online some code made of XSLT/XML. And although the code dates back to 2006 is really fashinating for its ease to make stuff happen.
The power of an XSLT solution lays in the combination of two factors, plus a jolly stuff. First, the use of XML, optimal approach to small quantity of data and nowadays manipulable in many ways. Second, the declarative approach of XSLT.
What the jolly is? Well, the accessibility of this technology in a super tested runtime environment like today's browsers.
Unfortunately - for some reasons we ignore - the update of these technologies is late to come but surely they are something that merits the attention of the community.
TTM, to be or not to be..
With all the billions spent in the industry in the last half of century maybe it is arrived the time to wonder about our products TTM.
Don't missunderstand us, we love programming, new technologies and software.. like everyone.. but when it is about launching an idea we want absolutely be live in a time fashion. What's this means nowadays? Well, it means yes, having a good product to launch, but also making distinctive choices on the technologies adopted: TiddlyWiki, WordPress, Github Pages, XSLT, etc; on the DevOps: Docker, etc; on code reusability; etc.
And however, think twice:
- what are your techical resources lately?
- is the project financially covered?
- what about the customer or end-user ROI?
- is a 6 months coding project justifiable?
- a 2 years ones?
Now, are you mature to sticky on TTM too?
Joke: Absolute.ly new, Twitter and IoT
We are not here to repeat how much we could like having PA public projects like IoT projects interacting with one or more social platforms by messanging.
But *after all*: do they have some good reputation to get in such kind of affairs? 😜

Standard format for breaches
We personally like a lot the idea behind Monitor:
https://monitor.firefox.com of Mozilla. But we sincerly find strange to know that no one of our emails has been exposed to any data breach since 2007....
What about to set an international standard format for compromised data in any breach to help projects like Monitor to stand out and remain relevant?
On premised data
In NuMode we are actually implementing software on premise to solve the quiz of collecting or not collecting third-party data with all the involved facelets and risks, involving the legislation too.
If you think well probably the public web app you are using to meet up online or the last cloud app to save your files on the web could be supplied you in a personal fashion or "on premise" without involving lots of people data stored in corporate dbs.
As such, we wish more companies choosing the software on premise solution.
IoT for consumers
We are investing loads of human effort in millionair projects implementing IoT for the PA while we are continuing to pray and call in public for an environmental change.
Surprising enough no one has thought yet the IoT technologies applied at the consumer side to control wasts and consumes.
Joke: One Tablet Per Child
My two years old daughter plays great with her tablet and its touch technology:
